After over 35 years in the music industry as an educator, musician, producer, and engineer I feel confident that I can provide you with whatever you need to move your project to the next level. I have the experience and skills to work individually or in groups with clients from all age groups, be it a singer, songwriter, a band, and even a school or church choir. From producing, recording, mixing and mastering a recording, I have the means to highlight the best of each member’s vocal and instrumental abilities. If it’s a band that Is looking to play in the local venues, a vocalist looking to perform in the city’s lounges, or a group or individual looking to just hone their skills, I can help. Depending on the size of the band, I can record the singers and musicians in my home studio or assist them in recording in a larger studio with professional engineers, depending of course on what they’re looking for. Furthermore, I have a long list of musicians, singers, and songwriters I can call upon to assist me in the development, rehearsing and recording processes if and when necessary.

Four band members approach me with an idea for recording an EP. They have the basic of 4 songs written and want to ensure that they get the best product for their money. To begin with, I’ll sit down with them to ensure we are all on the same page. I need to know what they’re looking for and what stage they are in their development. Next, I listen to what they’ve already completed and the provide them with my first recommendations. Depending on their budget, I can record them in my studio or in a larger venue with a qualified engineer. I then take the basic tracks and provide them with a first mix, followed by a feedback session to ensure they are comfortable with what I’ve done to date. I then return to the studio and provide them with another mix if necessary. Once approved I move on to the mastering session and provide them with a finished recording They can now take the completed project to an agent t or manager, use it for social media purposes or have the tunes pressed on vinyl for their audiophile audience. Lastly, because I’m also a designer and photographer, I can help with their branding, logo if necessary, album covers, posters, social media elements, and provide then with individuals who can produce and shoot a video for them.

A young singer approaches me to produce and record 10 songs, many of which she has already written. I’ll sit down with her to discuss exactly what she is looking including arranging the material if necessary. I will then hire the musicians I need to complete the project and the move to rehearse, record, mix and master, all the while checking with her to ensure I’m on the right track. Jaime Wells, an Australian singer, is a prime example of that process. Her album was sold to the general public, used as promo for her live performances and ultimately played on the local Australian radio station. Exactly what she had in mind. No matter the requirements, I can guarantee a completed project that will satisfy all those involved. In the end, It all comes down to time, talent and budet.
All costs are per project based. Typically, a studio recording will range between $300 to $2000 a tune depending on whether musicians need to be hired, a large studio needs to be rented, and other factors.
It can be, depending once again on the type of project, who’s involved, rehearsal time, number of songs, and more. Typically a 4-song EP can be recorded, mixed and mastered in as little as 2 weeks if the band or singer is rehearsed and ready to record.
None whatsoever. That being said, any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or produce a document stating that child has their permission to work with me.
